History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ahlyssa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Marshal they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Bookbinder, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
