Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: Born in the west to a Cartwright, Melissa learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She tends to her Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Cartwright responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. John was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. John decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and to reunite with his old friends

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His white hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a small hat. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Nicholas isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.
History: Nicholas was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Fletcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and many goblins want him driven away
