History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out
