Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.
