History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Armorer father left him crippled. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Randal hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
