History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. During her travels, Melissa and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Melissa discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Melissa fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She got into the Engraver business at a young age. Her first spouse was a Interpreter, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
