History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Bernard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Description: This younger middle-aged woman very much looks the part of a Laborer, and a wedding ring on her right hand. Her black hair is heavily combed to the right. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She has achieved small success as a Laborer.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

Description: Standing 5'10", this man is wearing a long, red cloak. His hair is auburn and very short. His eyes are gray and catlike.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Don embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: He was born in a small desert village. A gifted student he started as a Locksmith, but he got bored and became a Weaver. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
