Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Eloise hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: Born in the north to a Miller, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miller responsibilities is difficult; and expand his business

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Norman's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Norman was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
