Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aldous grew up listening to his father's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion.

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: William hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. William was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His childhood dream was to be a Roofer, but he was a colossal failure. He became a Painter soon after.
