History: Simon was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Avelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Ruler for the past few years.
