History: Born in the west to a Knight, Gerald learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Knight responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: She got into the Cook business at a young age. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
