History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Dean was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he wants revenge against dire rats
