History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Miner. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
