History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Alice's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Alice and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult.
