History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Richard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Richard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Banker they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Architect, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.
