Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Map Maker who has hired him part-time. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. He's also a talented Gardener, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Dyer again; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
