The war was a terrible time for her, and Maynild does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Joan and her spouse have recently divorced.
