History: Melissa lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and wants to raise her children well
