History: He was born into a rich family. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Heward alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and wants a kiss

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Hubert hails from a village terrorized by drow. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hubert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
