History: Thomas hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
