History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Ernest was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Layabout. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Jacoba was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared.
