History: William was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Miller arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
