History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mayor for hire.

After coming to the age of reason, Anselm took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
