History: Katherine was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
