Personality: She is a Soapmaker first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Through the years after Hadwisa was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Hadwisa's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Conrad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has taken up work as a Tanner and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
