History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Helen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Helen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Susannah will drive conversation. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Susannah fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To protect his home; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: Emmeline lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
