The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: Born in the west to a Scribe, Avice learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She's also a talented Marshal, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born to a Fletcher, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Norman abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
