He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Hugh and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Maynild liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Servant they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Sage, and she later adopted a second daughter.
