History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Joan was born with her mother's beautiful face. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Joan has worked very hard to control her curse. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Joan was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Human compassion; and many dire rats want her driven away
