History: Ralf hails from a village terrorized by drow. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
