History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He tends to his Blacksmith job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. A freak accident while working with her Layabout father left her crippled. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To protect her home; and balancing her hectic life and new shepherd responsibilities is difficult
