History: Gunter was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Barkeep kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Through the years after Joan was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Joan's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
