History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered dire rats who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

History: Born in the east to a Cook, Sarah learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has achieved small success as a Cook.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking northern young adult. He dresses in white turtlenecks beneath a blue coat with tan slacks. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He wears a feathered hat to hide his balding. His ears are large.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Robert liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Apothecary; and he feels kind of lost in life
