During her travels, Matilda and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Matilda discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Matilda fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a Fortune-teller, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Animal Trainer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fortune-teller. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: She got into the Carter business at a young age. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
