History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Born in the north to a Marshal, Matilda learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She's also a talented Servant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and balancing her hectic life and new marshal responsibilities is difficult

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Hugh has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. At a young age her mother died while driving off some orcs. Her father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in club use. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
