History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bertram grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bertram. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Cory was born with his mother's beautiful face. At a young age his mother died while driving off some brigands. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in quarterstaff use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To be a Sculptor again; and someone believes him a fraud
