History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His first spouse was a Scribe, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Jacoba was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Jacoba decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Jacoba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
