Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born to a Barkeep, his father struggled to pay the bills. He worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is a great chef.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: She got into the Layabout business at a young age. Melissa was born on a far eastern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Layabout. She's also a talented Mason, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and to be a mason again
