History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Dean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Katherine was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Katherine was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She tends to her Carpenter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Heather's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Emeny is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
