When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Manfred and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Gomory took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
