History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rolf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 4 years.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and balancing his hectic life and new apothecary responsibilities is difficult
