History: Helen was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Geoffrey and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Heather lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
