Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Hadwisa is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hadwisa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Through the years after Gerard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gerard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the west to a Carter, Aline learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She moved out north to avoid the crime she committed. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
