History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition, and he perpetually has his trident ready. His chestnut hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Gifted from a young age, Bertram studied abroad. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bounty Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
