History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Jacoba alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
