Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Scribe and was forced into it by her family.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Shane's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He became a Guard soon after.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Guard and was forced into it by his family; and wants to raise his children well
