History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Isabella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Isabella was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Charles never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Fortune-teller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.
