History: Alex was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. After coming to the age of reason, Alex took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Alex never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Through the years after Sarah was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Sarah's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs.
