History: Born in the north to a Painter, Gerard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Sculptor, but he was a colossal failure. He struck the Painter job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barrister they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second daughter.
