History: He was born in the north. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Simon is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Carpenter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Ploughman, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and regain custody of his daughter

History: She was born in a small plains village. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Elysande fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
